App Space LLC builds and publishes consumer applications for the Apple App Store. This policy explains what information our apps and this website collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legalese.

Who we are

App Space LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an independent iOS development and publishing studio. We are the data controller for the information described in this policy. You can reach us at any time at ceo@appspacellc.com.

This policy applies to this website and to every app we publish on the Apple App Store. Where an individual app collects something not described here, that app will tell you at the point of collection and in its App Store privacy label.

Information we collect

We collect as little as possible. Our apps are designed to work without an account wherever we can manage it, and most of what you create stays on your device.

Content you create

Notes, entries, settings, preferences and similar content are stored locally on your device. Where an app offers sync, that content is stored in your own iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit — it is governed by Apple’s privacy policy, and we cannot read it.

Purchase and subscription information

When you buy a subscription or make an in-app purchase, Apple tells us the transaction status so we can unlock the features you paid for. This consists of anonymised receipt and entitlement data — such as which product was purchased, whether a subscription is active, and when it renews or expires.

All payments are processed entirely by Apple. We never see, receive, or store your credit or debit card number, billing address, or any other payment credential. Those details are handled solely by Apple under your Apple Account.

Analytics and diagnostics

We collect aggregated, non-identifying information about how our apps perform and which features are used, so we can fix problems and decide what to build next. This may include:

  • Crash and performance data — stack traces, error messages, launch times and memory usage.
  • Device and system information — device model, iOS version, app version, language and general region. We do not collect precise location.
  • Feature usage — which screens and features are opened, recorded in aggregate rather than tied to your identity.

You can limit what Apple shares with us at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements on your device.

Correspondence

If you email us for support, we keep your message and contact address so we can reply and follow up on the issue.

How we use information

We use the information above only to:

  • Operate our apps and deliver the features you have paid for.
  • Diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and improve performance and stability.
  • Understand which features are valuable so we can prioritise work.
  • Respond to support requests and communicate about material changes.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with data brokers, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles or serve third-party targeted advertising. We do not track you across other companies’ apps and websites.

Third-party services

We share information only with the small number of providers needed to run our apps, and only to the extent required for them to perform that service:

  • Apple Inc. — App Store distribution, payment and subscription processing, iCloud sync, and App Analytics. Apple’s handling of your data is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.
  • Analytics and crash reporting providers — where used, these process diagnostic data on our behalf under contract, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so, or where necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property.

International transfers

We are based in the United States, and information we process may be stored or handled there or in other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Data retention

We keep information only as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy. Diagnostic and analytics data is retained in aggregate for a limited period and then deleted. Support correspondence is kept for as long as needed to resolve your issue and maintain a record of it. Content stored on your device or in your iCloud account is retained until you delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard technical and organisational safeguards to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and the principle of collecting as little data as possible in the first place. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email ceo@appspacellc.com and we will delete it promptly.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live — including under the GDPR in the EU/UK and the CCPA/CPRA in California — you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of information that is inaccurate.
  • Request deletion of your personal information.
  • Receive a copy of your information in a portable format.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email ceo@appspacellc.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law, normally within 30 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may also delete all locally stored data at any time by deleting the app from your device.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our apps evolve or the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. If we make a material change, we will provide notice through the app or by other reasonable means before it takes effect.
